An elementary school teacher from Texas decided to not give HW to her students for an entire year! In her note, Brandy Young says “After much research this summer, I am trying something new. Homework will only consist of work that your student did not finish during the school day. There will be no formally assigned homework this year.”
Considering the amount of HW, elementary students receive, this might be a breath of fresh air for many parents and students! However, completely no home work might be too extreme.
