What are the units of k for the rate law: Rate= k[A][B]²

Solution:

We can plug in units for all the variables to determine the units of k. Rate is in M/s and the unit for concentration is M.

Now, we can plug everything in.

M/s= k(M)(M)²

k= (M/s)/(M³)

k= 1/(sM²) = M⁻² s⁻¹
