Transformations of Trigonometric functions

y=a sin bx

A= amplitude = the height from the center line to the peak (or to the trough)

Period = 2Pi/ b= distance from one peak to the next (or from any point to the next matching point).

Frequency is how often something happens per unit of time (per "1").

Horizontal Shifts:

y= sin(x-2Pi)

move graph 2 Pi units to the right

Vertical Shifts

y=sinx-3

move graph 3 units down
