Regents Chemistry Exam June 2025 Question 35

35 What is the molarity of an aqueous solution that contains 0.60 mole of KCl dissolved in 3.5 liters of solution?

(1) 0.17 M (2) 0.60 M

(3) 2.1 M (4) 5.8 M

Solution:

Table T on the Reference Table lists all the equations for the Regents Chemistry exam including the one on calculating molarity. Molarity = moles of solute/ liters of solution.

Let's plug in the values to get the correct answer. molarity= 0.60moles/3.5L

molarity= 0.171M. Choice 1 is the correct answer.
