What is the vapor pressure of water at 90.°C

NY Regents Chemistry Exam August 2023 Question 38

38 What is the vapor pressure of water at 90.°C

(1) 40. kPa

(2) 68 kPa

(3) 94 kPa

(4) 150. kPa

Solution: We need to look at Table H on the Reference Table which shows the vapor pressure of different liquids depending on the temperature. We will find 90C on the x- axis and scroll up until we hit water line. Then we need to look at y axis for the pressure at that point, which is about 68kPa. Choice 2
