Let's begin by looking at the Periodic Table on the Reference Table. There is a staircase on the left side. Elements to the left of the staircase are metals (except H). Elements to the right of the staircase are nonmetals. Elements on the staircase are metalloids. Metalloids are B, Si, Ge, As, Sb, Te, At. Choice 1 is the correct answer.
