(1) The particles are larger than the distance between them and there are strong attractive forces between the particles.

(2) The particles are smaller than the distance between them and there are strong attractive forces between the particles.

(3) The particles are larger than the distance between them and there are no attractive forces between the particles.

(4) The particles are smaller than the distance between them and there are no attractive forces between the particles.



Solution:

Ideal gas particles have negligible (almost no) volume and a great distance between the particles. They also have no forces of attraction between them. Choice 4 is the correct answer.
